Yes. Pure Serenity was developed as a versatile botanical conditioner that provides lightweight hydration, softness, and easier detangling without weighing the hair down, making it suitable for most hair types.
Can I use Pure Serenity with a shampoo from another brand?
Yes. Pure Serenity works beautifully with any shampoo, although it was specifically formulated to complement the Apotheca Alchemica collection.
Can I use your shampoos every day?
Yes. Our shampoos are designed for regular use and are gentle enough for daily cleansing, depending on your individual hair type, scalp needs, and washing routine.
FORMULA & EXPERIENCE
why is the shampoo more fluid than conventional shampoos?
Apotheca Alchemica shampoos are intentionally lighter and more fluid in texture than many conventional shampoos.
Our formulas are built around gentle cleansing, botanical ingredients, and performance on the hair and scalp — not simply around creating the thickest possible texture.
We prefer not to add ingredients solely to give the shampoo a dense, creamy appearance. Instead, the formula is designed to distribute easily through wet hair, create a rich lather when massaged with water, and rinse clean without leaving the hair feeling heavily coated.
Thickness is not a measure of concentration, quality, or cleansing performance.
The lighter texture is an intentional part of the formula — not a sign that the product has been diluted.
are your shampoos formulated without sls and sles?
Yes. All Apotheca Alchemica shampoos are formulated without SLS or SLES. Instead, we use a blend of gentler cleansing ingredients designed to effectively remove buildup while helping maintain the hair’s natural moisture balance.
are your products silicone-free?
Yes. Apotheca Alchemica formulas are silicone-free. We focus instead on botanical extracts, plant oils, proteins, and carefully selected conditioning ingredients to leave the hair feeling soft and manageable without heavy silicone buildup.
will the color or aroma vary slightly from batch to batch?
Yes. Because we work with botanical extracts, plant oils, and other naturally derived ingredients, slight variations in color or aroma may occur from one batch to another.
These subtle differences are a natural part of working with botanical ingredients and do not affect the quality or performance of the product.
How are your products scented?
Each Apotheca Alchemica formula has its own carefully developed aromatic profile designed to complement the product and the experience of using it.
Depending on the formula, the scent may include carefully selected essential oils and other aromatic ingredients. Full ingredient information is provided on each product label.
do your products contain parabens?
No. Apotheca Alchemica products are formulated without parabens and use carefully selected preservative systems appropriate for each formula.
do your products contain mineral oil?
No. We do not use mineral oil in our formulas. Instead, we work with carefully selected plant oils such as jojoba, argan, castor, and other botanical oils chosen for their role in each formula.
USE & CARE
How much shampoo should I use?
Start with a small amount and apply to thoroughly wet hair, focusing first on the scalp.
Massage gently and add a little water as you work the shampoo through the hair. Add more product only if needed, depending on your hair length, density, and how much buildup is present.
Because our shampoos are designed to spread easily through wet hair, a little goes a long way.
How long will one bottle last?
A 250 ml (8.45 fl oz) bottle typically provides approximately 40–60 washes, depending on hair length, density, washing frequency, and the amount used with each wash.
Are your products suitable for sensitive scalps?
Our formulas are made with gentle cleansing systems and thoughtfully selected botanical ingredients.
However, because botanical extracts, essential oils, and other aromatic ingredients may not be suitable for everyone, we recommend performing a patch test before first use if you have particularly sensitive skin or scalp.
How should I store my products?
Store your Apotheca Alchemica products at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use and avoid allowing water or other contaminants to enter the product.
How long should I use the product after opening?
For the best experience and optimal product performance, we recommend using your Apotheca Alchemica products within 12 months after opening.
Always store them properly and discontinue use if you notice an unusual change in the product’s appearance, aroma, or texture.
How do I use Renewal Elixir?
Apply Renewal Elixir to the scalp and hair before shampooing.
Massage gently into the scalp for 2–5 minutes, then leave the oil on for approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours before washing.
Shampoo thoroughly afterward and follow with conditioner if desired.
For a consistent botanical hair and scalp ritual, use 3–4 times per week.

Every Apotheca Alchemica product is crafted in small batches with a focus on quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
From botanical preparation to final formulation, each step is approached carefully and intentionally to create products that reflect our botanical philosophy and modern formulation standards.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes. We do not test our finished products on animals.
Are your products vegan?
Not all of our products are vegan.
Our shampoos are formulated with plant-derived ingredients and are vegan-friendly. Pure Serenity Conditioner contains hydrolyzed silk protein, so it is not vegan.

ORDERS, SHIPPING & RETURNS
When will my order ship?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days after payment is received.
During holidays, product launches, or promotional events, processing times may be slightly longer.
How can I track my order?
Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number so you can follow your package.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include your order number, photos of the product, and photos of the shipping package if applicable.
We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
Can I return a product?
Yes. Unused, unopened products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused and unopened, the original packaging must be intact, and proof of purchase is required.
Can opened personal-care products be returned?
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened or used personal-care products.
Exceptions apply if the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. In that case, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
